Tiny flakes of snow drifted down from the sky and covered everything in and around our neighborhood. I can't say that I was surprised by it as the weatherman had predicted that it would arrive exactly as it did. It was very fortunate that I didn't have to drive to work today because 36 miles south on 395 could mean several feet of snow and very icy roads. I am on holiday right now and won't be returning to work until December 2nd and I am very happy about that with the inclement weather and all!<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ni0oXC9MgSA/TOicPauc5PI/AAAAAAAAAIc/W3xuYORt9tI/s1600/FIRST+SNOW+2010+005.jpg"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ni0oXC9MgSA/TOicPauc5PI/AAAAAAAAAIc/W3xuYORt9tI/s320/FIRST+SNOW+2010+005.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br />Speaking of holiday, I will be headed to Hudson, MA to have Thanksgiving dinner with my oldest son, Gary, wife Amy and of course Stephen and Maddy! I am quite excited as I haven't seen them since July of 2009. Of course, we talk once a week, on Sundays. Gary will be cooking turkey and all of the fixings. I am not looking forward to the flight as traveling this time of the year always seems to come with weather delays and such. Maybe if I try to think positive thoughts, everything will go smoothly :) When I arrive home it will be on November 30th, at which time, Lee and I will celebrate Thanksgiving here in Nevada. <br /><br />I am happy and proud to say that I have been assigned a new position at work at a location much closer to home. I will be transfered on approximately December 4th so not too many more days of driving 36 miles to work. This makes me smile. I have to admit that I am a bit nervous about the change but I know that things will just fall into place and after the first few weeks I will be an old pro at new responsibilities. I am thankful for this </span></div><div style="color: purple; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">opportunity that I have been given.</span><br /></div><div style="color: purple; text-align: center;"></div><div style="color: purple; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">Christmas is just around the corner and it will be a more joyous one than last year. Jimmy, Rachel, Ginger and Dos will be driving up to spend the holiday with us. I am very grateful that we will be together this year as last Christmas Day was a very lonely day indeed. I wish Gary and Family could join us but traveling with a family of four can be very expensive and is completely out of the question for this year. We plan to start a savings account and hopefully save enough for them to travel here next year. </span></div><div style="color: purple; text-align: center;"></div><div style="color: purple; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">Well, have to say bye for now.
